The year 2022 is jam-packed with new releases coming to consoles. One of the reasons for this is the fact that game developers have been delaying the launch date of their games again and again. This has caused most of the launch dates to be pushed forward into 2022. One might say this is bad; however, with 2022 right around the corner, we are excited for it because we won't be out of games to play. Here are some of the most anticipated games coming to consoles in 2022.
Horizon Forbidden West
Horizon Zero Dawn was a great game and, it had some of the best graphics that console games at that time had to offer. After watching the released footage for the upcoming game Horizon Forbidden West, we are expecting it to be even more of a graphical marvel. The released footage left us speechless. It also seems as the game will be a completely open world with tons of verticality. We also saw vertical movement options as well including a glider of some kind.
God of War: Ragnarok
God of War has always been one of the flagship titles for the PlayStation. For the next installment in the God of War series, we take a trip into the epic place from Norse mythology, Asgard. As the initial teaser trailer came out and we got a look at the sneak peek for Thor's mighty hammer, Mjölnir, we got super excited for the reveal trailer. The reveal trailer was even more spectacular.
Hogwarts Legacy
This is probably one of the most awaited games for 2022, especially for Harry Potter fans. With the last Harry Potter game given to us back in 2011, Harry Potter fans, including us, have been dying for a new title. The next generation of consoles are insanely powerful and will most likely be able to accurately present the magical and fantastic wizarding world of Harry Potter.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man is also one of the flagship titles to be released for the PlayStation. We have adored and played all the parts that have been released over the years. After getting a look at the trailer for it and having revealed to us that Venom is also a part of this game, we couldn't be more excited.
New Sonic Team Game
Finally, it has been confirmed through a teaser trailer that a new Sonic game is coming. Oh boy, have we been waiting for it! However, the teaser trailer did not have much in it; it is a teaser trailer, of course. We do not have much information on even what the game will be called; all we know is that it's coming, and we are super excited.
2022 is going to be a busy year for gamers. There are tons of new titles coming to the console, and with the next generation of consoles already here, those games are going to look absolutely stunning.
